DEAERATOR ANTI—CORROSION COMPOSITE COATING

一、Survey of deaerator

Oxygen corrosion of inner surface of deaerator tank is a popular problem that is produced by its working environment. There is 158~188℃, 0.69~1.03Mpa boiling water in which oxygen content sometimes may reaches highly 0.1 mg/L, so the oxygen corrosion is very serious. The tank corrosion not only results in drop of water quality that is supplied to the boiler, but also its stress concentration may produce deaerator crack and even deaerator explosion. So, the National electric power department issued documents to demand every concerning departments to make effort to remove hidden dangers that were produced by deaerator corrosion and welding, so as to ensure production safety of deaerator. According to every kind of generating set, e.g. 50~600MW, volume of deaerator tank usually is 70~235 m3, the materials made for deaerator are 20R, 20G, 16Mn. The oxygen corrosion resistances of these materials are lower, therefore, protecting treatment of deaerator inner surface is very significant to eliminating corrosion and stress concentration as well as prolonging service life, improving water quality, ensuring deaerator safety.

 
二、Technical characteristics of CDC

Anti-corrosion coating of deaerator is a kind of composite coating, made of back layer, middle protective layer, surface protective layer. The composite coating does not peel off absolutely, because of high corrosion resistance of back layer and its high binding strength (70MPa) with matrix. The middle layer is the second defence line of anti-oxygen corrosion, made of high anti-corrosion Austenite matrix materials. The surface layer is first defence line of anti-oxygen corrosion, made of high polymeric substance of high resistance to acids, alkalis, water, climate and temperature(300℃). Distinct advantages of this composite coating are double protections and high binding strength. The applied results of several power plants have proved its good anti-corrosion effects. This composite coating is also suitable to anti-turbine oil corrosion of main oil tank of steam turbine.

四、Technique method
 
(1). Before constructing, discharge the water in deaerator tank and ensure dryness and no water vapour of the tank surface.
(2). Clean the inner surface of deaerator tank by spraying sand and cleanliness of the cleaned surface must reach Sa 3.
(3). Spray back layer, thickness is about 0.07~0.1mm.
(4). Spray middle layer, thickness is about 0.2~0.3mm.
(5). Spray surface protecting layer, completed by two steps between which the solidifying time of 12~24 hours is needed (decided according to room temperature ). Thickness is about 0.1 mm.
(6). After completing above operations, ensure 24~48 hour solidification and curing period.
 
 
五、Attention matters
 
(1). In the construction procedure, ensure that the site is dry and no water vapour.
(2). In the curing period, notice that the layers can not be drenched, stepped on, vibrated, etc.
