Crystallizer is the key of continuous casting equipment. Crystallizer copper tube contacts the high temperature steel liquid directly, so, it is necessary that high strength and hardness of the copper for anti-deformation and wear, high softening and recrystallisation temperature for holding strength and hardness in high temperature, high thermal conductivity for good cooling, high elongation for better manufacturing. How chooses correctly the copper material is very important for prolonging using life of crystallizer and improving the quality of the casting base. Now, the red copper is the main material using for crystallizer copper tubes at home and abroad. But, its softening and recrystallisation is lower, hot strength and anti-wear properties are poor, so, the red copper is not good material for crystallizer tubes.
